Director’s note

“Welcome to the official Know My Name website! I am so thankful for everyone watching and supporting us from home. The entire cast has worked so hard to put out all original content to educate others and share their own personal experiences. I am beyond proud of every single person involved in Know My Name 2021 <3 This show has provided me with opportunities to make connections and meet small artists, as well as give me a loving and safe community. I’ve grown to know every person in our cast, and feel comfortable enough to share personal experiences from my life with them. A special thank you goes out to our heads, as the show would never have been possible without them; and of course to our show manager, Holly, who dealt with a lot of the organization aspects. Thank you to Ben, Asloan, and Anna for creating our amazing website, and a HUGE thank you to Maddy for editing the entire show together. None of this would have been possible without the help and encouragement of my amazing co-director Kate! I have so much love and hope for this show, and I hope you all enjoy the beautiful work that was created by our incredibly talented cast :)”

“Hi!!!!! AHHHHHHH ITS HERE BITCHESSS!! I'm so happy to have finally produced this show. It's been 3 yrs in the making, and I'm so happy that I, alongside my incredible partner Emine, have been blessed to put out this show on our own accord. This process has been such a fantastic journey. It's been transformative to be surrounded by such amazing, talented, and inquisitive artists, especially in this mass time of uncertainty. Having these super concise and active conversations are so rare. I feel so lucky to have made this show exactly how we imagined it to be; a group of people who have somehow created this incredible bond and community without even seeing each other in person. I can only hope we have the chance to broaden this sense of camaraderie through the release of this show. The incredible work produced in this show is 100% created by our very own cast, which is a feat I thought nobody would actually be up to, but here we are! Thank you all so much for making my wildest dreams come true. I can't express how much this show means to me and how much every one of you has deeply impacted my life. I love all of you so much I’ve literally been happy crying all the way through writing this lol. AHHHH enjoy the show, people!”
